How it works
Every Noctua account has a unique forwarding address. When you forward an email to it, Noctua reads the content, prepares an edition, and adds it to your personal podcast feed.
That is the whole flow. No URLs to copy. No browser tabs to open. Forward and listen.
The workflow:
- You receive a newsletter — Substack, a digest, an engineering blog, anything that lands in your inbox.
- Forward it to your Noctua address — one tap on mobile, one click on desktop.
- The edition appears in your feed — ready for your next commute, workout, or walk.
The whole process takes about five seconds. The reading happens in the background.
Why newsletters suit audio
If you already use Noctua for web sources, you know which content translates well: conceptual pieces, opinion essays, industry analysis, career advice. Newsletters are overwhelmingly that kind of content.
Most newsletters are long-form writing without heavy code blocks or diagrams — exactly the kind of prose that reads beautifully aloud. Morning Brew, The Pragmatic Engineer, TLDR, Benedict Evans, Stratechery — they were practically made for listening.

A secondary effect we did not anticipate: inbox peace.
When a newsletter arrives, you no longer choose between reading it now (you will not) or leaving it unread (guilt). You forward it, archive it, and move on. The newsletter is not lost — it is queued in your podcast app, waiting for the right moment.
