FAQ

Everything you need to know about using Noctua.

What is Noctua?

Noctua is your personal wisdom companion. It transforms written sources you choose — articles, newsletters, long-form posts — into audio editions prepared and delivered to a feed that only you control.

What sources are supported?

Any public web page. Paste a link to the article or post you want read to you, and Noctua handles the rest. Direct file uploads are not supported today.

How long does a reading take?

Most sources are prepared into an edition within a few minutes. Longer pieces take proportionally longer. Progress is visible on your dashboard.

What is the podcast feed?

Noctua generates a personal podcast feed of your editions. Subscribe to it in any podcast app that supports custom feeds — Apple Podcasts, Pocket Casts, or Overcast — and listen to your collection wherever you listen to everything else.

Does the podcast feed work with Apple Podcasts?

Yes. Apple Podcasts supports custom feeds. To add yours:

  1. Copy your personal feed URL from your Noctua dashboard.
  2. Open Apple Podcasts and go to your Library.
  3. Tap the menu icon (three dots) in the top-right corner.
  4. Select Follow a Show by URL…
  5. Paste your feed URL and tap Follow.

Your editions will then appear alongside any other show in Apple Podcasts.

Does the podcast feed work with Spotify?

Not currently. Spotify does not support adding custom podcast feeds. Pocket Casts and Overcast both work seamlessly with your Noctua feed.

Is my data private?

Your sources, editions, and audio are private to your account. Noctua never shares your content with other users or third parties. Your collection is yours.
